CD Laboratories, located in Baltimore, MD, is the exclusive laboratory in the United States for CD Diagnostics, Inc., a division of Zimmer Biomet, a worldwide leader in musculoskeletal care. The CLIA-certified clinical laboratory has specialized in developing and executing synovial fluid testing for patients with joint pain and/or inflammation, since 2013.
CD Laboratories is focused on restoring mobility and improving quality of life for patients throughout the United States. In doing so, CD Laboratories offers Comprehensive Laboratory Infection panels to aid in the diagnosis of Periprosthetic Joint Infection (PJI), Native Septic Arthritis (NSA) and common arthritis conditions of the knee (OA, RA, gout and septic arthritis). CD Laboratories strives to provide physicians with timely, accurate and reliable results.

At CD Laboratories, synovial fluid testing is our expertise. Our highly trained laboratory professionals ensure that every specimen received is treated with care to ensure accurate and reliable results are provided to customers and patients. Once received, our team focuses on processing and preparing each specimen to start the process of providing timely results. At CD Laboratories, every specimen receives a specimen integrity analysis to confirm the quality of the synovial fluid, e.g. that it has not been diluted by saline, contrast agent or blood. If specimen is not optimal quality, we inform providers as part of an easy-to-read results report.
